I saw this game a couple of weeks ago on Steam and decided to try it out. I enjoy games that push the medium into new and interesting territories and this game does exactly that.
The premise is simple. You're a researcher who is investigating a missing person by watching police interviews of a young woman. Each video is a clip of a larger video. You have to search the database on your own to uncover new clips. To find the next piece of the puzzle, you must analyze different clips for clues and search keywords to uncover new things. You, as the player, must piece together what happened. There are plenty of "Oh wow" moments. The story is well crafted and the actress does a superb job.
"Her Story" is a simple design, elegantly constructed, and emotionally fulfilling. You will only spend a few hours with the game, but you'll be glad you did.
