Well there it is. The Captain Marvel trailer. I’m not impressed.

I want to be impressed. I really do. I love Captain Marvel, or as I like to call her, Warbird. Carol Danvers (that’s her non-superhero name) has been a favorite superhero of mine for a very long time.

I watched the trailer a few times, but there’s nothing to get excited. We are not shown anything. Yes, we see Danvers walk around, stand up, and look serious the entire time, but that’s it. There’s a hint that she might go full Binary (another one of her superhero names), which would be absolutely amazing to watch, but it’s not quite clear. The Skrulls are in it, which is cool. The Skrulls are a race of shapeshifters from another world, which explains why Danvers punches a little lady in the trailer.

Maybe the studio is still putting final special effect touches on the film which is why this trailer gives a lot of nothing. I expect there to be 2 or 3 more trailers before the movie drops. I’m hoping the next trailer gives me something to be excited about.
